Super Fit Program Comes to Gear West this Weekend

CXC Team Vertical Limit athletes and coaches will assist area skiers with fitting equipment this coming weekend at Gear West Ski & Run starting on Friday morning.

 

MADISON, WI (September 15, 2009)

 

CXC Team Vertical Limit will kick off the “Super Fit Program” this coming weekend at Gear West Ski & Run store in Long Lake, MN. The following athletes and coaches will be assisting you at Gear West in addition to their expert staff:

Matt Liebsch – 2009 Overall American Birkiebeiner winner and 2009 World Cup competitor
Garrott Kuzzy – US Ski Team member and 2009 World Championships competitor
Audrey Weber – New member of the CXC Team Vertical Limit and Dartmouth graduate
Bryan Fish – CXC Team Vertical Limit Coach and 2007 USSA Development Coach of the Year
Igor Badamshin – CXC Junior Development Program Coach and 1993 World Championships bronze medalist

Yuriy Gusev – CXC Executive and Athletic Director

 

 â€œSUPER FIT” is a weekend educational and sale program featuring the unique high tech user friendly pressure testing mat. Three days filled with seminars, presentations and store specials at local retail shops around the region.

 

Schedule of Events:

Friday:

3D Ski Flex Mat Testing – 10:00am to 6:00pm

Glide and Kick Waxing Seminar by Bryan Fish – 5:00pm (upstairs)

 

Saturday:

Free Dryland and Rollerski Technique Clinic – 8:00am (meet at the store parking lot)

USSA Level 100 Coaches Certification Technique Clinic – 8:00am (meet at the store parking lot)

3D Ski Flex Mat Testing – 10am to 5pm
American Birkebeiner Presentation by Matt Liebsch and Dennis Kruse – 4:30pm (upstairs)

Optimal Training for Maximum Results Seminar by Bryan Fish – 5:00 pm (upstairs)

 

Sunday:
3D Ski Flex Mat Testing – 12pm to 4pm

CXC can test your old skis and will have gifts for everyone purchasing Salomon skis, the ski choice of CXC Team Vertical Limit.” comments Yuriy Gusev, CXC Executive and Athletic Director. “ I would also like to congratulate Jan Guenther, store owner, for her outstanding performance and 8th place overall finish last Sunday at the Ironman Wisconsin competition.”

 

Salomon USA and CXC will be also hosting a raffle. Every store visitor will have an opportunity to drop their name in a hat to win fun prizes such as backpacks, ski bindings, ski hats, coffee mugs, stainless steel water bottles, technique CD-ROMs and Birkie DVDs. Raffle winners will be announced on Wednesday, September 23 and can pick up prizes at Gear West.
