The Midwest Junior Committee Chairman/Head Coach, Trip Leader and Head Wax Coach will review the applicants and notify selected coaches by November 15, 2012. Application Due Date: November 1, 2012
Please complete the application thoroughly, use an additional sheet if necessary. This will help us make decisions as we have many qualified applicants and only a few positions.
If you are named you are expected to:
• Become a coaching member of the United State Ski & Snowboard Association (USSA). Required (approx. $110). www.ussa.org • Become a coaching member of Central Cross Country Ski Association (CXC). Required (approx. $35) | www.cxcskiing.org • Be working towards USSA Level 100 Coaching Certification if you have not already been certified. • Promote the JN program to athletes in your area. • Attend at least two qualifiers with athletes from your team (you will not be required to work with Midwest juniors in general at the qualifiers). • Attend Midwest Junior Committee meeting at Season Opener JNQ. • Attend spring Midwest Junior Committee meeting (following JN’s). • Attend CXC Regional Elite Group Camp in the first part of July in 2013. • Travel with the Midwest Junior National Team and do whatever is asked of you at Junior Nationals.
This is not a vacation; it is a week of hard and exciting work, late nights and exceptional experience. It is incredible and rewarding to see athletes perform at their best while representing our division. It is vital that you can communicate well with your fellow coaches and athletes.
The Midwest JN Team will pay for your travel, room, board, and uniform jacket. Any personal expenses (phone calls, souvenirs, nights out) you will have to cover.
Please e‐mail your application by November 1, 2012 to Reid Lutter at Reid@podiumwear.com
