TD Bank J2 Championships

The Central Cross Country Ski Association (CXC) will provide an opportunity for qualified talented young juniors from the Midwest Division to compete amongst their peers at the 2014 NENSA U16 (J2) Championships at the 10th Mountain Outdoor Club, Fort Kent, ME on March 13-15, 2015.

Team Size

The team will be comprised of four U16 (J2) boys and four U16 (J2) girls for a total team size of 8 junior athletes.

Team Selection Criteria

The team will be selected by using the Midwest Junior National U16 (J2) qualifying list. Athletes ranked in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th position on the final points list will qualify for the team.

Travel

Team will fly from Minneapolis, MN to Boston, MA and travel on a rental van to Fort Kent, ME.

Team will be staying at the Camel Brook Camps

Uniform

All selected athletes will receive team race suit and jacket to represent CXC Midwest Division as a team. Coaches will receive jackets.

Cost

Qualified athletes will be responsible for the price of the airline ticket, lodging, meals, uniforms and race fees. All other expenses will be covered by CXC and its sponsors (wax, coaches expenses and van rentals). Trip cost $1,450.

Athlete’s coaches and/or parents are welcome to join this trip with their athletes but will need to cover their expenses. CXC will advise with logistics of travel, housing, transportation and assist with waxing and race support.
