Central Cross Country Ski Association

Central Cross Country Ski Association (CXC) will provide an opportunity for qualified talented young juniors from the central region (Midwest and Great Lakes Divisions) to compete amongst their peers at the 2013 TD Bank J2 Championships at the Holderness School in Plymouth, NH on March 8-10, 2013.

Central Cross Country Ski Association is divided on two regions:
- Midwest Division (South and North Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri)
- Great Lakes Division (Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Eastern Pennsylvania).

Team Size

The team will be comprised of four J2 boys and four J2 girls for a total team size of 8 junior athletes.

Team Selection Criteria

The team will be selected using the Junior National J2 qualifying list from Wausau, WI and St. Paul, MN. 3 best races out of 4 will count towards qualification.

Travel

The team will fly from Minneapolis, MN to Portland, ME and travel on a rental van to Plymouth, NH.

Uniform

All selected athletes will receive team race suit and jacket to represent CXC Central Region as a team. Coaches will receive jackets.

Cost

Qualified athletes will be responsible for the price of the airline ticket, lodging, meals and race fees. All other expenses will be covered by CXC and its sponsors (wax, coaches' expenses and van rentals). 2012 trip cost was $800.

Athlete’s coaches and/or parents are welcome to join this trip with their athletes but will need to cover their expenses. CXC will advise with logistics of travel, housing, transportation and assist with waxing and race support.
