Cross Country Competitor Membership
A joint membership with U.S. Ski & Snowboard provides eligibility to compete, earn points, and receive both divisional and national rankings at select events, including the CXC Junior Cup, CXC Adaptive Cup, Junior Nationals, U.S. Nationals, Continental Cup, SuperTour, and World Cup events. For dedicated skiers, obtaining this membership early in the season offers significant advantages, as it allows athletes to begin accumulating U.S. Ski & Snowboard points. These points are used for race seeding at many sanctioned regional and national events. As performance improves, athletes can earn lower points, which may lead to more favorable starting positions at Junior Qualifiers (JQs), Junior Nationals, and other U.S. Ski & Snowboard and FIS-sanctioned competitions. This can be especially important in mass start races, where starting position can have a significant impact on race outcome.
Moreover, high school upperclassmen aspiring to ski in college should note that college recruitment can also be influenced by having low U.S. Ski & Snowboard points.
We ask you to double, and triple check your U.S. Ski & Snowboard membership is current!

Coaches Certification Requirement
All U.S. Ski & Snowboard Coach Members will be required to hold an ACTIVE Coach Certification status in order to register for U.S. Ski & Snowboard sanctioned competitions. This requirement will go into effect at the start of the 2025-26 season, 07/01/2025.
Any not-yet-certified Coach Member has the duration of two full seasons to earn their Level 100 Coach Certification. This two-season timeline begins during the 2024-25 season, meaning: any not-yet-certified Coach Member with a 2024-25 season membership has until the end of the 2025-26 season (06/30/2026) to obtain their Level 100 certification.
Note that coaches who are working towards their Level 100 certification may earn the IN PROGRESS certification status, which is regarded as an "active" status for competition registration for the duration of two seasons.
